Yes, we're still alive.
It's been far too long since our last update, and for that we beg your forgiveness.
IF all goes well, in the next couple weeks, there will (knock wood) be some news to report about Wide Awake, and I'm quite excited by it.
While you wait for your Amanda fix, just a reminder that Brandon and I have a new issue of Mighty Crusaders on store shelves this Wednesday; for a preview, hop on over to Newsarama and check it out.
(And don't forget, on you next trip to the comic shop, to pick up a copy of either JSA Vs. Kobra: Engines of Faith or The Shield: Kicking Down The Door.)

New Trautmann/Jerwa comic out this week
Though not a Wide Awake update, this week a new DC comic series, The Shield, hits store shelves. (The street date is Wed., Sep. 9 2009, but with the Labor Day holiday shipping delay, it'll hit most stores in North America on the 10th of September.)
The Shield is a monthly DC superhero comic, written by Wide Awake's Eric Trautmann and illustrated by Marco Rudy.
But wait! There's more. Each issue also contains a co-feature, starring Inferno, written by Wide Awake's own Brandon Jerwa, illustrated by Greg Scott.
So, while you're waiting for your Wide Awake fix, can we humbly suggest you hit your Friendly Local Comic Shoppe and acquire -- demand! -- a copy of The Shield/Inferno.
(For a preview of both stories, check out DC Comics' official blog, The Source. )

Some housekeeping...
Pardon our dust; some revision to the site is ongoing this week.
Among other things, you'll see a new delivery system for the comics (one which I'm quite excited about), an expanded downloads section, and a few other odds and ends.
Why is this happening? you ask. Does this mean (gasp) there may finally be new pages?
Yes. Yes it does.
The delay is finally over, and in the coming weeks, you'll start to see new chapters of Amanda's story.
Thanks to all who have been patient and supportive of Wide Awake; we hope you'll find it worth the wait.
